Believing in a Biblical church can be beneficial but believing in a Biblical church does not provide everlasting life. Believing in a Christian can be beneficial but believing in a Christian does not provide everlasting life. Believing in a preacher can be beneficial but believing in a preacher does not provide everlasting life. Doing good works can be beneficial but doing good works does not provide everlasting life. 1 John 5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
Churches and mortal men cannot give us eternal life, dwell in our hearts, create clean hearts in us or make us new creatures. Ephesians 3:17a That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; Psalms 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. |
